Emergency Switchgear Replacement Following Water Damage

Overview

PTM Combined Services responded to an emergency call-out at the International Tennis Federation (ITF) Head Office after a water leak caused significant damage to the building’s electrical switchgear. Following a detailed assessment, our engineers designed and installed a bespoke replacement distribution system, ensuring the client’s electrical infrastructure was safely restored with minimal downtime.

The Challenge

Water had entered the existing switchgear following a leak, compromising the integrity of the electrical distribution system and creating a serious safety risk. As the original switchboard arrangement was bespoke and no longer available off the shelf, a direct replacement was not possible.

The client required a fast, reliable solution to restore power while upgrading the installation to current standards.

Following emergency isolation and a full inspection of the damaged equipment, PTM Combined Services designed a replacement electrical distribution system using high-capacity Eaton distribution boards.
