Case Study: Emergency Barduct Busbar Replacement
Building 1000–2000, Cathedral Square
Following severe water ingress into the existing Barduct busbar, our team received an emergency call on a Friday to restore power as quickly as possible.
To minimise disruption, we identified and installed a Barduct busbar from an unoccupied section of the building while Schneider manufactured a new replacement. This temporary solution enabled us to restore the building’s electrical supply with minimal downtime.
Our engineers worked outside of normal working hours throughout the weekend, successfully restoring power by Sunday. As a result, the outage was limited to just two days, allowing office staff to return to work as planned on Monday.
Once the new Schneider Electric busbar was manufactured, we scheduled a planned shutdown to remove the temporary installation and reinstate the new permanent busbar, completing the works safely and efficiently with minimal disruption to the client.
